In 1956, Osborne commissioned to AZOR, the company advertising agency, a great project to adapt the well known bull icon of Brandy Veterano label to an outdoor advertising campaign to be place along mayor Spanish roadways.
The artist Manuel Prieto used to collaborate for AZOR, and he designed and presented a majestic black silhouette of a bull.
Osborne still keeps the original drawing proposed by the artist in a squared patterned piece of paper.
The first Osborne Bull billboards were erected immediately after and placed in November 1957 cut from a single sheet of wood.
At that time, they were only 4 meters high. Osborne prepared different decoration trials of the Bull silhouette: first to display had white horns and Veterano Osborne brand name printed on together with a brandy glass. Osborne even tested the possibility to included glass bottoms doubling as the bull eyes.
